Ghaziabad Chess Sports Association is organizing UPState U -9 Chess Championship-2014 on behalf of
U P Chess Sports Association from 16-04-2015 to 18-04-2015 Free lodging (dormitory) will be provided
to all the selected regular entries and One official manager of district team . Others and
accompanying persons will be charged Rs.300/ per person. All the players are
requested to bring their
own room locks and chess clocks.

AgeLimit
Players born on or after
01.01 1996s are eligible to participate for the
championship, 2014.
AgeProof - Certificate from the Gram Panchayat or District Hospital or Local Municipal Authorityshould be presented in
support of declared age of the participant .Certificate must be within one year
from the birth . Any other
document other than these
shall not be accepted as age proof. Each
district unit must ensure the submission of age proof along with entry
fee ( In case any discrepancy is found the organizing secretary has
all the rights to scratch the player from the tournament and refer for further
action.)School’s certificate will not be accepted. Player must show
the original birth certificate for verification and submit the clean readable
photocopy of the same as
per Govt.of India and AICF guidelines

Tournament System :
i.
The tournament
will be played under swiss system of league governed by latest FIDE rules for
Chess. Each session will be of Three/
Four hours duration
ii.
To break the tie
following order, Bucolz And M Bucolz,Progressive > Cut Progressive > Toss
will be followed. to decide the championship in the place of toss a maximum of
three 5 minute games will be played. If still there is tie, the Toss will
decide the winner.
iii.
Introduction of
clocks will be subject to availability.
iv.
Protest if any
can be made within 30 minutes from the completion of the game along with a
protest fee of Rs. 500/- which is refundable if the protest is upheld.
v.
The decision
of players committee will be final and binding to all.
ELIGIBILITY
i.
Two Players from
every affiliated District/Unit of UPCSA. All the arrears of affiliation fee
including current year (2014-15 ) and other dues if any must be cleared by the
concerned District/Unit prior to submission of entries.Disstrict/units will
not be allowed if arrears are not cleared. players participating
from district without association have to pay Rs. 600- entry fees for the
tournament
ii.
Top twor Players
from the previous U. P. State U-9 Chess Championship. As regular entry
iii.
Top Two players
each from the U.P. As regular entry
iv.
2 players who
could not participated in their District
tournament, as may be nominated by the Hon. Gen. Secretary of UPCSA following
the recommendation of concerned. District secretary.As regular entry.
v.
2 players from
Zonal offices of LIC, Railways, Banks in the State, Central Govt. and State
Level undertakings and Nagar Nigam on payment of temporary affiliation fee of
Rs. 4000/-. For Universities of the State temporary affiliation will be Rs.
1000/-.
vi.
Host Association
is entitled for 2 extra entries. As regular entry
IMPORTANT
i.
Every participant
must be present at the Prize Distribution Function and collect the certificate
by himself. Smoking, Pan Masala, And Liquor is Strictly
Prohibited in campus.
ii.
The tournament
committee reserves the right to make any change in the schedule, venue of the
tournament on short notice. Tournament committee reserve the right to accept or reject
any entry without assigning any reason.
iii.
Registered with GDCSA (for Ghaziabad Reg. Fee
Rs.100/-) and UPCSA (Reg. Fee Rs. 150/-) are eligible to participate in the
tournament
iv.

Affiliated
District associations/Academies/Schools/Institutions and other units must pay
their affiliation for 2013-14 and dues before 31 st
march of every preceding year otherwise
they
will be
automatically disaffiliated and their players will have to pay rs.250/- per
player with
regular entry fees. Entries must be over unit’s letter head.
